Sapori Italiani

The Sapori is an Italian restaurant on The Mall in the centre of Newry. This business is a well loved local icon which has been here for over 20 years! Having said this, the interior is very modern with a strong Italian theme. As always we had a fantastic meal with them and I was pleased to see a vegan risotto being clearly added to the menu. We started with the Focaccia to share which comes with some condiments and a lovely garlic oil drizzle. For my main I had to try the risotto and was not disappointed, the flavour was great and the fried aubergine was delicious. I will add, I have had a vegan pizza here before (pre-roasted veg and no cheese) and it was delicious! I can't speak for all vegans but I think this was perfect and deserves a place on the menu too 😁 Overall this is a family run business with a great service and delicious food, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

We just happened to pass by and thought we would try it. We loved it so much we've made a booking to go back next month. I had the bruschetta with gamberi, absolutely delicious followed by gamberi, gnocchi and a courgette puree. I cleared my plate!! The pizzas that my family had were also delicious. Sorry no food photos as I was just busy eating!!

Last minute decision to book a table at this restaurant. Best decision we made for a Saturday evening. Sapori Italiani offered authentic Italian food that was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the restaurant is beautifully situated next to the water within Newry City centre. The interior design is also very contemporary with a touch of class. The most notable aspect to our experience here were the extremely friendly staff members. Will definitely be returning here soon to explore more of the menu

Always delicious, we try something different every time and its always so good. Fantastic service. Very knowledgeable on wines and have a great selection of imported wines.

We have been meaning to visit this restaurant for so long. Its situated along the cobbled streets of Newry beside the canal. The decor is Italian themed and some nice ideas like parts of the ceiling decorated and items hanging, fairy lights etc. The staff were very welcoming and attentive at all times. For our starter we had a medley of 5 foods; garlic bread, pizza, tomatoe pasta, rice salad, the food was stunning. We then ordered lasagne and spaghetti carbonara, I have Nguyen never eaten freshly made spaghetti and I recommend you do as i have tasted anything like it. Absolutely delicious. I have never tasted as nice spaghetti in my life. Then we had tiramisu and a selection of desserts, truly one of the best desserts I have ever had. Very very reasonably priced. Don't think about it, just go, you doing be disappointed.
